Hide files in another Images using CMD prompt
This article is going to explain how we can hide our files in another file using CMD prompt. Sometimes we need to hide few files from other as those files may be very sensitive, private or confidential for us. So we can hide those files in another file that no one can even guess that the file may contain another file or files in it. The size of the file will get increased but the file containing other files will be opened normally in its format only.
For example, if we hide a word file in an image and when we open that image, it will be opened as the same image without revealing any clue about the word file.
So let’s discuss the above example by showing it practically.
Consider a scenario that we have a rar archive of a word file and an image (point.jpg) and a separate image (young.jpg) in which we have to hide our files.
Steps to be followed for doing so
Step 1: First of all just create single zip or rar archive of the all the files you want to hide.
Step 2: Now select an image either .jpg or .png in which you want to hide the archive of the files.
Step3: Now press start button and type CMD and hit enter. The command prompt will be opened.
Step 4: Now in opened command prompt, just type the following command
“copy /b image_file_path.jpg/png + compressed_file_path.zip/rar”
Like in below image we are hiding “Files.zip” inside “young.jpg” which are stored in drive D:\ and the command is as follows.
After we hit enter, it will prompt a message that files are copied and the compressed file will get hidden inside that image file.
If we want to hide two or more files then we have to simply keep them in a single zip/rar files before hiding.
To recover the hidden file again, just open the image (containing files) using archive software such as 7 zip and Winrar etc… and extract the hidden files.
Now click on file and extract it.
Thank you for your patience.
