Google app for iOS updated with coolest things | 3D Touch support | Multitasking
Here’s, a cheerful news for the Google app fan who stuck with one of the latest iPhones.
Google app has now been update with three new features, out of which two are not avialable for Android users.
First, the Mountain View firm has updated its app for iOS with 3D Touch support, giving iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus users some added functionality.
Now, users can hard press on the Google app’s icon to pull up shortcuts for common activities like voice search, image search, and search.
Second, the users with iPad have gotten multitasking features such as Slide Over and Split view support, making it possible to put apps side by side for efficiency.
Google also said that:
The Google app now supports Split View and Slide Over on iPad, so you can use it side by side with your other favorite apps. Need to look something up while sending a text or reading an article? You’ll also see a graph in results for stores and other places showing the busiest times of the day, so you can plan ahead and avoid the crowds.
Also, though this new feature will find little use in India, Google has also added holiday hours to search results for restaurants, bars and local businesses. So that you can get your shopping done very easily.
